Appropriation

Approption is the act of taking something and using it yourself. This is very close to plagiarism, but when you plagiarise something you completely copy and call it your own. When someone uses approption they add to the taking of someone’s ideas with their own style and flare. Approption like plagiarism is usually taken without the owner’s permission which is not fair for the one who put so much work into the idea to begin with. Approption may not be right, but at least it isn’t an exact copy of someone else's work.
