Appropriation is taking someones work for your own, and basically, plagiarism is too. But, there is a difference between the two. Plagiarism is not meant to be caught, it is sneaky. Plagiarism is the actual lie of hiding it, while appropriation gives recognition to the original work or author thats work was taken over. Appropriation is also a reuse of material. It is just using somebody else's ideas, but it is not meant to be a secret.
