Abstract Architecture

This image is an example of abstract architecture because it focuses on the black and white lines and symmetric aspect of the building. At a glance this just seems like a geometric design, but after further examination, you realize this is the corner of a building. This is the main purpose of abstract architecture is to show unique aspects of a building from other pint of views so that it is not so obvious that it is a building.

Abstract ArchitectureThis image displays abstract architecture because of its lines, the different colors, shapes, and textures of the buildings.  When first observing the photo, it can be challenging to make out what the picture is of until it is further examined and this is why it’s abstract. The angles of the kings create and upward motion which keep your eyes moving throughout the picture and the diffferent colors cause the photo to seem more random. The different texture from the building also moves your eyes from the left to right side of the picture

This images is abstract because the images focus on the individual shapes (circles and parallelograms) rather than an overall structure. At first glance, you cannot tell what the structure is, which makes it abstract. It is also abstract because all of the lines and rectangles are yellow while the circles in the center are clear. This image is also shows ironic symbolism because the yellow shows happiness and joy while the light bulbs, which are usually signs of light and joy, are darker and blander. The straight lines in the image makes it very abstract and the coming together of the yellow lines with the bland light bulbs make it a very interesting composition.

This photo is very abstract because of the patterns of the windows starting in the middle of the picture, and then slowly disappearing up to the left and right. I also like how the blue contrasts with the white frames. Also, the blue adds a pop of color to go along with the distraction of the pattern. I also like how the pattern is the same throughout but the photograph is still abstract because of the camera looking up on the building. Lastly, I like how symmetrical the lines are and how straight the lines are.

This photo is a very good example of abstract architecture for many reasons. Since the entire building is white and only 90 degree angles, it creates a sense of unity and senselessness. The geometric nature makes the piece look like a computer generated image. The only reason you see it as a building is because of certain shadows and the railing. Overall it is simplistic and portrays the idea of abstract architecture.

      This photo is a good abstract architecture because it focuses on the details of the building and you cannot tell what it is. all the white lines in-between the yellow look very pleasant. The dots on the yellow also add good texture instead of just having smooth yellow. The angle of the shot makes the grid pattern go from really tight to more wide. This photo is definitely abstract because you cannot tell what this is a photo of and it has in focus details.

This abstract photo is very interesting to me because, the way the photographer shot the photo perfectly underneath the balcony to where it all lines up is very satisfying. I also like how the yellow/ color and the liens all line up from floor to floor is amazing, but its also cool how the bottom floor closest the photographer is slightly darker than the rest of the floors.

This photo is a great example of abstract architecture because the way that the photo is angled where you can not tell that it is a building. The way that the sunrise/sunset reflects on the glass is very interesting to the eye because it gives of a purple/blue effect. This is a good element because it makes it seem like it is not glass. The way that the glass is shaped is also important because it curves around, cutting off the light to make it seem move abstract.

This photo is abstract because it shows a close up but detailed photo of a sculpture, but you cannot tell where it is or what the whole image is of. I like this image because it shows very good detail and you can see the whole sculpture. I also like that it is looking at it from an upward angle and is centered because you cannot tell how large or small it actually is. This image is contrasted very well against the blue sky with the clouds.

This photo shows abstract architecture because of the patterns going down both sides of this building. The black and white effect really adds to the abstract aspect of this photo making each of the small shapes more intense. The design win the clouds creates a satisfying contrast between the sky and the building creating an even more abstract aspect to the shapes in the building. The decreasing visual size of the shapes on the building adds even more to the abstract effect to this photo. The combination of all of these elements in this photo creates an impressive abstract architecture image.
